It's never been easier to reach your savings goals with our new Save the Change Savings Program! Save the Change automatically builds your savings by rounding up your debit card purchases to the next whole dollar and transferring the change into a specialized savings account. Stack your savings by adding $1-$9 to your purchase. With this new saving tool, you can save while spending when using your Sandhills' debit card!

How It Works

1. Enroll

  • Chose a Sandhills State Bank Checking Account with a Debit Card that you will use for your daily purchases.
  • A Personal Banker will open a new Save the Change Savings account for your funds to grow in.
  • Decide how you will Save the Change, by rounding up to the nearest whole dollar, or stacking additional cash, up to $9 per transaction.

2. Spend

  • Grab your groceries in person, place your order online, basically proceed with your spending as normal!
  • Save the Change works on any Sandhills Debit Card purchase: in person, online, through your digital wallet, and on any recurring payments.

3. Save

  • Save the Change automatically transfers the change to your designated savings account.
  • All Save the Change savings accounts are equipped with a high interest rate to help you maximize your savings.
